Profile projection system

Test bench

IODA has developed a system that allows to project the profile of an object for the examination, the projected object is enlarged 5 times (5X magnification).

The instrument is inserted in a production line, therefore the dimensions and the position of the components are constraints imposed by the customer.

The profile projection system consists of:


– Projector, consisting of a light source and a first lens system that parallels the light rays coming from the light source and which invest the piece to be controlled.

– A second lens system, called lens, which collects the image of the piece by enlarging it and sending it to the feedback screen.

An important feature of the profile projector is the multiplicity of controls that can be implemented, in fact:

  • It is possible to directly compare the enlarged image of a piece with a scale drawing arranged on the screen.
  • It is possible to measure directly on the screen the enlarged image of a piece with a ruler.

This project was developed in collaboration with the National Institute of Physics of Padua (INF).


C.O.B. Led Lens IP68

IODA has studied and produced a new polyurethane material lens REVO-01; the light source consists of a C.O.B. Edison code LPHM30NW2F240, the external diameter is equal to 80 mm, while the convex radius (R = 86 mm) gives the projected light a distribution angle of +/- 40 °.


The peculiarity of this lens lies in the edge, since a groove has been created to accommodate an o-ring, in order to guarantee the degree of protection required for outdoor lamps,
International Protection class IP 68.

The groove is made directly on the mold, without any additional processing after polymerization; the structure of the external lamp has a diameter equal to the maximum diameter of the lens, so that the result is particularly “linear”.

In addition to the existing lenses, D-series, having diameter 55 mm, we have now available lenses with diameter 70 mm: with four diameters and different curves you can easily find the most functional lens for your project!

Benefits

This type of lense has a good performance, when used with high power COB; we can create lenses with diameter and curvature “ad hoc” for specific needs.

Customized cylindrical lenses

IODA has developed a particular design and production technology, which allow us to produce several cylindrical lenses “customer request” with base dimensions of ache very large also the lenses may have a flange to facilitate installation in a seat or a support.

Ioda can customize cylindrical lenses with different dimensions and focal length, according to the customer needs.


Prisms

IODA has developed in the years experiences and competence to realize special tools for the production of prisms.

The materials for the production of prisms are the following:

– REVO-01 (Polyurethane) n=1,51
– Mineral (Crown) as BK7, Flint (KzF2) and others.

Ioda can produce prisms with different dimensions and angles, according to customer needs.


Ultra narrow light beam

Thanks to the continuous development of our production technology we can build lenses with convex radii extremely contained, (4, 5 and 6 mm), of which the effective diameter of the lens is twice the radius (a semisphere) where there is a flange for the positioning of the lens.



The lenses produced in polyurethane REVO-01 material are characterized by very short focal (4 mm per lens, diameter 10 mm); therefore they have really reduced angular distribution values.


Zoom Led System

We design and manufacture lenses for special lighting applications: the lens model ASP-D-83 is a clear example of our job.
ASP-D-83 is a plano -aspherical lens used in a light projector; with a single lens we can vary the angular aperture of the light emitted by up to +/- 15 degrees.




Benefits

Usually a lens is designed to have a specific angular distribution at a determined distance from the LED source; moving away from the source, part of the light emitted is lost over the edge of the lens.

Thanks to its characteristics of asphericity and to its particularly large diameter, this lens allows you to modify the angular aperture (zoom effect) without any loss of light.


L.O.B. -Lens On Board-

The basis of these lenses has two or three holes with interaxis 35mm, but it can be customized according to the specific application.



Benefits

  • The aspherical curvature of the lens makes the light emitted homogeneous accross the illuminated area.
  • The illumination system allows higher efficiency, especially for narrow emission angles.
  • Considerable space saving is given

REVO-01 material is perfectly suitable for this application, as resistant to high temperatures and having an excellent mechanical resistance.


SOLARIMETER – PYRANOMETER

A solarimeter is a pyranometer, a type of measuring device used to measure combined direct and diffuse solar radiation.
Ioda produces the dome of the solarimeter, which has been called Glass Dome.




The material used is quartz K5; the dome is optically processed for maximum surface and dimensional quality.

Benefits

Ioda can also create specific domes with a different radii, according to the customer’s needs.
